A meta-analysis of metal biosorption by suspended bacteria from three phyla

چکیده

Biosorption of heavy metals by bacterial biomass has been the subject significant research interest in last decades due to its efficiency, relatively low cost and minimal negative effects for surrounding environment. In this meta-analysis, biosorption efficiencies different strains Cu(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Cr(III), Mn(II), Pb(II) Ni(II) were evaluated. Optimum conditions process such as initial metal concentration, temperature, pH, contact time, type, dosage phyla, evaluated each metal. According results, removal follows: Cd(II) > Cr(III) Zn(II) Cu(II) Mn(II). Firmicute phyla showed highest overall (living dead) efficiency metals. Living Proteobacteria had best performance. was significantly more efficient than dead biomass. The maximum achieved at pH values between 6 7.5. High temperatures (>35 °C) reduced increased ions. non-essential occurred with short times (<2 h). Essential Zn Cu efficiently removed long durations (>24 mean capacity 71.26 125.88 mg g?1. No publication bias existed according Egger’s Begg’s test results.

Comparative analysis of pseudogenes across three phyla.

Pseudogenes are degraded fossil copies of genes. Here, we report a comparison of pseudogenes spanning three phyla, leveraging the completed annotations of the human, worm, and fly genomes, which we make available as an online resource. We find that pseudogenes are lineage specific, much more so than protein-coding genes, reflecting the different remodeling processes marking each organism's geno...

Biosorption of Pentachlorophenol from Aqueous Solutions by Aspergillus Niger Biomass

Background: This study aimed to investigate the biosorption of pentachlorophenol on Aspergillus niger biomass as a method for removal of pentachlorophenol from aqueous solutions. Methods: Modified A. niger biomass with NaOH was used to absorb the pentachlorophenol. The impacts of various experimental parameters like primary pentachlorophenol concentration, pH of the solution, contact time, a...
